Energise Me is a charity that champions physical activity for all in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We are working hard to end inactivity. Our goal is to create a happier, healthier and stronger future for local people. We won’t rest until everyone has the confidence, support and opportunity to be active on their own terms. Physical activity transforms lives. Our work is helping people to reduce their risk of major illnesses and depression. With your help, we are enabling communities to thrive. But we still have a long way to go. We are one of 42 Active Partnerships who work with partners to create an active nation.

The Douglas Bader Foundation was conceived almost 40 years ago following the death of Sir Douglas when hundreds of people contacted the family asking us to keep his inspiration alive. The charity’s ethos is about what people can do not what they can’t, in the spirit of Sir Douglas himself. Initially committed to helping amputees, we extended our remit to include all disabilities and Bader Braves was instigated to support children with disabilities through our Young Aviators Days and Adventure/Activity events. Our inspirational Grant Scheme exists to provide practical support for the pursuance of achievements by those with disabilities.
Recent achievements include Bader’s Big Band; Bader’s Bus Company and the LiMITTless project, providing prosthetic limbs for UK children with limb difference.
