Para table tennis player Simon Heaps won his band in the recent Bristol Veterans tournament played at SGS College.
At 66 years of age Simon Heaps was by far the oldest player in his banded group and was competing against 7 other players all being able bodied.Para player Simon, who plays from a wheelchair, won all of his 7 matches to win the Band convincingly.
Next event on his calendar is when he travels to Germany to make his Bundesliga debut for Alstersport Hamburg in Europe’s only wheelchair table tennis League. The first round of matches will be played in Bielefeld on Saturday 9th October.
